Dwight Howard will be the pitchman for Wrigley's new "Double-Double" promotion with the NBA. Throughout the 2008-09 season Wrigley's will make a donation to charity every time an NBA Player achieves a double-double. Dwight has led the NBA in double-doubles the past two seasons. Dwight will appear in print and radio advertisements promoting Wrigley's products including the new Doublemint Slim Pack.
 

Rodney Stuckey joins Meijer Superstore

Detroit Pistons rookie sensation Rodney Stuckey has reached an agreement with superstore chain Meijer. Rodney will be featured in promotional programming and appear at corporate events.

Gatorade is IN Candace Parker
 

Gatorade, the leader in performance beverages had landed former Tennessee star Candace Parker. Parker will serve as a spokesperson for the Gatorade and G2 lines and will be featured in print, online and TV commercials for both brands. Parker joins the Gatorade family which includes Michael Jordan, Peyton Manning, Tiger Woods, Dwayne Wade, Derek Jeter and others.

WB, DC Comics Super on Dwight Howard

Dwight Howard has formed a partnership with Warner Brothers and DC Comics. The WB/DC Comics team along with GSM will explore ideas to utilize the Dwight's Superman persona in motion picture, television, animation, literature, comic books and merchandising.

In addition, WB/DC Comics will work with adidas, vitaminwater, Upper Deck, McDonald's, t-mobile, the Orlando Magic and the NBA to activate and promote this partnership.

Echoing corporate leaders Nike and EA Sports, trading card and memorabilia company Upper Deck has signed a lucrative multi-year deal with NBA star Kevin Durant.

Candace Parker, the WNBA's #1 Draft pick has signed a multi-year footwear and apparel agreement with adidas. The deal will feature signature Candace Parker products in both basketball and performance fitness.

Kevin Durant and isotonic beverage company Gatorade have agreed to terms on a multi-year deal. Durant joins Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning, New York Yankee Derek Jeter and Miami Heat guard Dwayne Wade as the new face of this longstanding leader in the sports replenishing drink category. Durant becomes the youngest athlete ever signed by Gatorade in its 40 year history.

Durant to promote duo of EA Sports Basketball Games

Kevin Durant has signed on with video game giant EA Sports as the pitchman for both of the company’s basketball
titles: NBA Live (along with Gilbert Arenas) and

March Madness. Commercials featuring Durant and Arenas began running in late June. Look for the March
Madness spots in the Winter 08.

McDonald's Monopolizes Dwight Howard

Originally featured on McDonald's cups and bags as a spokesman for McDonald's during the Beijing Olympic Games, Dwight recently agreed to extend his partnership with McDonald's. Dwight shot several commercials for the company and will be featured in the McDonald's Monopoly game advertisements on TV and in print.

Nike snags Durant Howard and Stuckey Topp out with card deals

Kevin Durant, the NCAA Player of the Year and #2 NBA Draft pick of the Seattle SuperSonics agreed to terms with Nike, Inc. The seven-year deal is one of the largest shoe deals ever signed by an NBA rookie, second only to the 2003 Nike/LeBron James deal negotiated by GSM.

Dwight Howard and Rodney Stuckey have inked deals with trading card company Topps. Topps was recently acquired by former Disney Chief Michael Eisner and seeks to carve a greater niche in the trading card market.
