WHAT:

Nike and reigning NBA Rookie of the Year Kevin Durant hosts the Oklahoma City community at a special event to introduce the KD1, Durant’s first signature shoe with Nike.

Durant leads children in a skills clinic where he shares insights, tips and details about the grassroots support that helped him reach the NBA. Durant also treats the youth in attendance to a celebration meal.

Following the clinic and lunch, Durant introduces the KD1 with a special surprise and discusses the inspiration behind his first Nike signature shoe. The KD1 features a variety of personal touches that represent Durant’s history and roots.

Media can participate in a 15-minute Q&A session with Durant at the conclusion of the event.
