Golden State Warriors guard Jamal Crawford and the Jamal Crawford Foundation present an evening filled with fun, golf and celebrities on Saturday, July 18th to benefit Seattle Children’s Sports Health Programs. Jamal Crawford Foundation’s “High Tops and Healthy Hearts” will begin at 6p.m. on July 18 at The Links at Interbay located at 2501 15th Avenue West in Seattle’s Interbay community.
Team sponsorship for the 9-hole, nite-golf tournament is $400 for a four-person team, and includes golf, dinner, gifts and a team photo with Jamal Crawford. Admission to Jamal Crawford’s Putt-Putt Golf Tournament is a tax-deductible contribution of $35 per person or $100 for a foursome and includes 18-holes of mini-golf, dinner, prizes, gifts and a photo with Jamal Crawford. Individual tickets are available at a cost of $75 or $50 for children under 13 years old.
“High Tops and Healthy Hearts” will include music, mingling with local-area pro athletes including NY Knicks guard, fellow Rainier Beach alum and 2009 NBA Slam Dunk Champion Nate Robinson, Portland Trail Blazer guards Brandon Roy and Martell Webster, Sacramento Kings center Spencer Hawes. The benefit will help provide quality sports medicine training for trainers responsible for Seattle Public High School student-athletes and scholarship for families.
“The Jamal Crawford Foundation is thrilled to be presenting this fun and entertaining event that will raise awareness and funds for Seattle Public High School Certified Athletic Trainers program – protecting our student-athletes,” said Crawford, who established his foundation in 2005. “The work of athletic trainers is essential. As parents of student-athletes, we want to know that our children will receive the best medical care on and off the playing field. Athletic Trainers are the first wave of treatment for student-athletes that face such unfortunate circumstances.”
The Jamal Crawford Foundation is currently taking reservations for the July 18th “High Tops and Healthy Hearts” event up until 6 p.m. on Friday, July 17.
